'Farm Operations Lead' is an exciting and challenging new role and you will report directly to the Company General Manager and assist in all aspects of farm production. Job duties include forecast, plan and implement crop production where you will focus on achieving high standards for farm safety, productivity, and yield and ensure sufficient manpower to meet production goals. You will participate in consultation with the general manager in preparation and implementation of budgets for crop production.
As such you will need to work collaboratively and support farm managers, supervisors, and employees to build positive labour relations through collaboration and communication. You must ensure compliance with safety legislation and make recommendations for health and safety improvement. The goal is to create innovative solutions to farming problems and keep updated on agronomy issues on the farm so as to generate accurate crop survey and crop forecast.
This is an operator and supervisory role and you will be required to do both successfully. You will participate in the overall success of the operation with a wage bonus based on performance. You will be required to have farm equipment experience, secondary school or additional experience, agronomy and/or crop production experience. You must have a valid drivers license and/or 1A designation or willing to obtain training of such.
The 'General Farm Labour' position is a start up role with Cadrain Farms and you will be Trained to Operate tractors, harvesters, combines, swather, sprayers and hand tools safely and will be required to perform minor adjustments on equipment such as tractors, swathers and combines well as proactively maintain equipment. General labour will include cleaning equipment and shop duties. You will be required to follow all safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment required for the job and to report any injury or unsafe conditions to the operations lead or farm manager.
There will be some manual labour work and you will be asked to load and unload supplies from trucks and do shop work including truck and trailer wash, tire maintenance and repair as well assist in the machine and welding shop as necessary to complete all tasks
'Farm Equipment Operations' role is an exciting career if you enjoy working as part of the harvest, trucking, seeding, and overall operations team. You will report directly to the Company General Manager and/or operations lead and assist in all aspects of farm production and operations. Job duties include set-up, testing, maintenance, minor repairs, operations of all farm equipment including trucking and 1A driving as necessary. You will focus on achieving high standards for farm safety, efficiency, productivity, and quality across the farm unit. As an integral component of our production team, you will need to work collaboratively to support the farm manager, supervisors, and other employees to build positive labour relations through collaborative effort.
You must ensure compliance with safety legislation and make recommendations for health and safety improvements. You will participate in the overall success of the operation, with a wage bonus based on performance. You will be required to have farm equipment experience, secondary school or additional operations experience. Farm background and previous experience is a definite asset as well as any understanding of crop production, rotations, fertility, and management experience. You must have a valid drivers license and/or 1A designation or willing to obtain training of such.
